It’s finally time to announce the beginning of a long-awaited project from the Archives of the Big Bend. Digital Collections are now available through CONTENTdm, curated and maintained by our Digitization Lab, housed on the second floor of the library. CONTENTdm makes it possible to securely build and share digital collections to make them accessible by people around the world.

Since last fall, Digital Collections and Metadata Librarian Emily Huang has led the digitization team — made up of Digital Imaging Technician Michael Howard and Library Assistant in Digital Imaging Al Gomez — in collaboration with Senior Archivist Melleta Bell to prep digitized collections for sharing by scanning, uploading, and adding metadata to digital items.
