Reading Room
Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: Bryan Wildenthal Memorial Library Room 216 (second floor).

The entire Library (including the Archives) is closed during University holidays. The Archives is also closed from time to time due to staffing constraints. Researchers, particularly those travelling are encouraged to call or write ahead and schedule an appointment.
Policies
Sul Ross State University students, faculty, and staff, as well as the general public are welcome to conduct research in the Archives. All materials are non-circulating and must be used in the Reading Room.
Researchers are asked to read and sign a policy of rules and regulations upon registering which includes: use of pencils only; check in of all containers including book bags, briefcases, purses, and other personal property not necessary for research; careful handling of materials; compliance with copyright, privacy, or other applicable laws or conditions of use.
Reference Assistance
We are happy to communicate with potential researchers as to the relevancy of the Archives’ holdings to their topic of interest. We offer orientation to first time users of primary materials and special collections.
Archives and Special Collections Instruction
We offer instruction to classes or other groups and individuals from institutions of higher learning, public and private schools, and the general public in the use of the collections.
Duplication of materials
By researchers in the reading room: Textual materials in good condition and not restricted by copyright, conditions of use, etc. may be duplicated in reasonable amounts by non-flash photography or in some cases by scanner but please ask first.
Xerox copies by staff: Baring copyright, condition, etc. of reasonable amounts for a nominal fee.
Digital or Print copies of Photographs by staff: Baring copyright or other conditions of use; cost recovery fees may apply.
